THE BLEND

Frantoio 40% Leccino 25% Dritta 20% Tortiglione 15%

Blending different varieties of olives is a very complex process called BLENDING.

The continuous research and selection of raw materials makes this process a real art, capable of creating an oil with an unmistakable taste from these blends.

Our research was long and after several tests we found the blend capable of giving a balanced taste but capable of maintaining all the nuances of each Cultivar that composes it.

For us it was important to preserve the genuineness of our olives, enhancing their quality, thus creating an oil that was truly a luxury product.

FRANTOIO

Dark green in color with golden reflections, the oil made from this cultivar is savory and fruity.  A cultivar whose productivity is high and constant.

The medium-sized tree adapts quite well to various types of soil and to different climatic zones.

The ideal harvesting period is around mid-November.

FINE, AROMATIC, WITH LIGHT NOTES OF SPICY AND BITTER, GIVE OUR BLEND UNIQUE SHADES TO DISCOVER ON EVERY DISH

LECCINO

Of Tuscan origin, Leccino is one of the most widespread cultivars in Italy.

It is characterized by the ability to adapt  in cold temperatures.

Fresh and delicate, it is practically an oil suitable for grilled white meats and baked fish.

WITH A GOLDEN COLOR WITH GREEN REFLECTIONS, ITS TASTE IS VERY BALANCED BETWEEN HINTS OF SPICY, BITTER AND SWEET AT THE SAME TIME. ALSO USED TO SOFTEN OILS WITH A DECIDED AND LITTLE BALANCED TASTE.

DRITTA

The Dritta is a typical variety of the province of Teramo and Pescara and widespread above all in the Vestina area which over time has spread over a large part of Abruzzo up to the foothills located between Majella and Gran Sasso. The oil obtained from the Dritta is FRUITY WITH A TASTE THAT PERFECTLY BALANCES BITTER AND SPICY. THE AFTERTASTE RECALLS THE TASTE OF FIELD HERBS AND GREEN ALMOND WHILE THE SMELL HINTS OF ARTICHOKE. IDEAL ON DISHES SUCH AS SOUPS, VELVETED LEGUMES, GRILLED MEAT AND VEGETABLES.

TORTIGLIONE

Tortiglione is a very particular cultivar, widespread in the territory of Teramo and neighboring municipalities. This variety is closely linked to the tradition of manual harvesting. This happens due to the particular conformation of its twisted trunk which makes mechanical harvesting difficult. In our BLEND it represents the bitter note, thanks to the rich presence of polyphenols, antioxidant substances. THE PARTICULAR TASTE, VERY STRONG AND PERSISTENT, PERMITS COMBINATIONS IN DISHES SUCH AS LEGUMES, BEEF, HERBAL CHEESE AND GOATS.
